Belgian Dark Strong Ale 11.0%
Allagash Brewing Company, Portland, ME
A dark, very rich, complex, very strong Belgian ale. Complex, rich, smooth and dangerous.
An ale of significant alcoholic strength, bigger than strong bitters and brown porters, though usually not as strong or rich as barleywine. Usually tilted toward a sweeter, maltier balance. “It should be a warming beer of the type that is best drunk in half pints by a warm fire on a cold winter’s night” – Michael Jackson.
A very strong and rich lager. A bigger version of either a traditional bock or a helles bock.
A decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong American pale ale.
A hoppy, bitter, strongly roasted Foreign-style Stout (of the export variety).
Russian Imperial Stout 9.0%
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Milton, DE
An intensely flavored, big, dark ale. Roasty, fruity, and bittersweet, with a noticeable alcohol presence. Dark fruit flavors meld with roasty, burnt, or almost tar-like sensations. Like a black barleywine with every dimension of flavor coming into play.
Belgian Dark Strong Ale 12.0%
Brasserie Dubuisson Freres Sprl, Belgium
A dark, very rich, complex, very strong Belgian ale. Complex, rich, smooth and dangerous.
A refreshing, medium to strong fruity/spicy ale with a distinctive yellow-orange color, highly carbonated, well hopped, and dry with a quenching acidity.
A light-flavored, malt-accented beer that is readily suited to drinking in quantity. Refreshing, yet flavorful. Some versions may seem like lower gravity brown porters.
A golden, complex, effervescent, strong Belgian-style ale.
A well-hopped American interpretation of the richest and strongest of the English ales. The hop character should be evident throughout, but does not have to be unbalanced. The alcohol strength and hop bitterness often combine to leave a very long finish.
English Barleywine 12.0%
Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Paso Robles, CA
The richest and strongest of the English Ales. A showcase of malty richness and complex, intense flavors. The character of these ales can change significantly over time; both young and old versions should be appreciated for what they are. The malt profile can vary widely; not all examples will have all possible flavors or aromas.
Bohemian Pilsener 5.3%
Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Paso Robles, CA
Crisp, complex and well-rounded yet refreshing
Originally released for the Green Flash 6th Anniversary Celebration and brewed to recognize the synergy behind the craft beer culture on 30th Street in San Diego. This American Pale Ale is very well bittered and dry-hopped, making it taste like an IPA by many hop head's and other brewer's standards. Our 30th Street Pale Ale has become a staple in all our favorite local neighborhood pubs and restaurants on a stretch of 30th Street from Golden Hill through South Park and North Park to Normal Heights.
A decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong American pale ale.
A deep reddish, moderately strong, malty, complex Belgian ale.
A refreshing, medium to strong fruity/spicy ale with a distinctive yellow-orange color, highly carbonated, well hopped, and dry with a quenching acidity.
A Baltic Porter often has the malt flavors reminiscent of an English brown porter and the restrained roast of a schwarzbier, but with a higher alcohol content than either. Very complex, with multi-layered flavors.
A dark, very rich, complex, very strong Belgian ale. Complex, rich, smooth and dangerous.
Variable. This category encompasses a wide range of Belgian ales produced by truly artisanal brewers more concerned with creating unique products than in increasing sales
An intensely hoppy, very strong pale ale without the big maltiness and/or deeper malt flavors of an American barleywine. Strongly hopped, but clean, lacking harshness, and a tribute to historical IPAs. Drinkability is an important characteristic; not a heavy, sipping beer.

Easy-drinking, approachable, malt-oriented American craft beer.
American Pale Ale 6.7%
Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Chico, CA
Refreshing and hoppy, yet with sufficient supporting malt.
Like an American pale ale with more body, more caramel richness, and a balance more towards malt than hops (although hop rates can be significant).
A harmonious marriage of ingredients, processes and beer. The key attributes of the underlying style (if declared) will be atypical due to the addition of special ingredients or techniques; do not expect the base beer to taste the same as the unadulterated version.

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer 5.9%
Stone Brewing Co., Escondido, CA
Stone Smoked Porter w/ Vanilla Bean was the brainchild of Small Batch Brewer Laura Ulrich, who had a stroke of genius after trying Stone Smoked Porter poured over a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream. The complex flavor of Madagascar vanilla beans melds perfectly with the chocolatey, malty, coffee-like character of the beer, making it almost like a liquid dessert, but without an overbearing sweetness.
Brace yourself, bereaved fans of Stone 11th Anniversary Ale, for your joyous new day has finally come! It?s like your first crush?you know, the one who broke your heart when she/he decided to go to the junior prom with what?s-their-name?has suddenly come back to you to go for a cruise down the main drag on Friday night. It?s like?it?s like finding that long lost gold watch, given to you by your father, who got it from his father, who got it from his father. It?s like when your best buddy in the world, Sam the family dog, finally sauntered up the front porch steps one sunny afternoon after having been on a six-week runaway. Yes, it?s just like that. And it?s like this: A brilliantly hopped double IPA?providing a wake up call of floral and citrus aromas?backed up by a deliciously smooth and dark roasted maltiness. You get the best of both worlds with this black double IPA.
Refreshing and hoppy, yet with sufficient supporting malt.
Dunkelweizen 5.3%
Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan, Germany
A moderately dark, spicy, fruity, malty, refreshing wheat-based ale. Reflecting the best yeast and wheat character of a hefeweizen blended with the malty richness of a Munich dunkel.
A double bock beer that has what it takes. Not just for lovers of strong beer. With a malty aroma and great taste, our Korbinian is a true beer speciality. It goes well with smoked meat and fish as well as wild roasts and fowl.
