So what style is District Ale? Truthfully, it is no style. Or perhaps you might say it is Freestyle. Generally, it is probably English. The grain is English, the hops are English, the yeast is English. But no recipe for English Ale was consulted. And it’s dark, yet nary a kernel of dark malt was part of the recipe. But why spend time fretting over what this beer is? It’s delicious! A nice malt with some toffee and caramel notes. The hops are earthy and the carbonation is on the lower side. The finish is refreshingly dry. Sit back and enjoy. Cheers!
